You can return batteries free of charge after use at the point of sale or in the immediate vicinity (e.g. municipal collection points or in shops). You can also return batteries to us by post. Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin.
Near the dustbin symbol is the chemical name of the pollutant: CD = cadmium, Pb = lead, Hg = mercury.
