Description

BEAR ARCHERY Grizzly G62 - 62 inches - 35-60 lbs - Recurve Bow

The BEAR ARCHERY Grizzly G62 is a 62-inch, one-piece recurve bow inspired by the classic Grizzly models of the late 1950s and early 1960s. With its combination of traditional design and modern manufacturing techniques, this bow offers an outstanding shooting experience for both beginners and advanced archers. The riser is made from an I-Beam construction with Chechen (Caribbean rosewood) for the I-beam and Jatoba (Brazilian cherry) for the outer parts, ensuring a perfect blend of strength and aesthetics. The limbs have a core of hard rock maple, sandwiched between two layers of clear fiberglass, and the tips are reinforced with black fiberglass, allowing all string materials, including Fast Flight, to be used. A black finish on the back of the riser enhances stability and gives the bow a sleek, unified appearance. This bow is Bear Archery's first 62-inch one-piece model in decades and is distinguished by its smooth, precise shooting behavior.

Right-handed or left-handed?

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.

Notes on delivery time

Please note the following information on the stated and actual delivery time:

You are purchasing an item that we do not have in stock ourselves, but order from a wholesaler for you. As a rule, it will be with us in approx. 5-7 working days and can then be dispatched to you immediately. For this reason, a maximum delivery time of 8-9 working days is displayed in the order form.

However, our shop system cannot display the stock levels of wholesalers and suppliers. Even the wholesaler cannot always have every variation in stock. It may therefore be the case that the item has to be ordered directly from the manufacturer (Asia, America). In this case, the delivery time can be extended to up to 12 weeks. In special cases, the item will be made for you and may have an even longer waiting time.

After finalising your order and checking the availability of your items, you will receive information from us with a more precise delivery time. If possible, we will also offer you alternatives that can be delivered more quickly.

Thank you for your understanding.
