Important Note on Draw Weight Calculation (ILF Standard)
When purchasing ILF limbs, there is a technical detail to consider:
The draw weights marked on the limbs refer standardly to a 25-inch riser.
Since the Yin Yang riser is more compact, ranging from 17 to 23 inches, the limb bending angle changes. This increases the actual draw weight compared to the label. * Rule of thumb: For each inch shorter riser, the draw weight increases by approximately 1 lbs.
Example: A limb labeled with 30 lbs (at 25 inches) achieves an actual weight of approximately 36 lbs on a 19-inch riser.
No worries: In the selection here in the shop, this is already considered. You choose the weight you actually want to draw – just don't be surprised if the delivered limb shows a nominally lower value.
