OAK RIDGE Mongo - 60 Inches - 20-45 lbs - Hybridbow
With a bow length of 60 inches, the Mongo is an ideal size for bowhunting, but is also great for competition. Available with draw weights starting at 20 lbs for beginners and up to 45 lbs for more ambitious archers, it combines the aesthetics of a longbow with the advantages of a fast recurve. Recognizable at first glance as a longbow, however, at 60 inches it is a bit too short to be a "true" longbow. However, it makes up for the lack of size with the typical feature of a recurve bow, the clearly visible reflex-deflex shape in the limbs, and thus cleverly combines the characteristics of a longbow and recurve bow. The result is a compact bow with a smooth draw, high arrow speeds, and an almost complete reduction of vibration in the grip. As is usual with a traditional longbow, the string does not touch the limbs of the hybrid bow, but only the tips.
The Mongo can be shot universally by right and left handed archers.
