Description

Center section | HOYT GMX 3 Series - Grand Prix - 25-27 inch

Born a champion - right from the start. - The GMX 3 Series won a world championship title on its first outing on a tournament field. Michelle Kroppen from Germany stood at the top of the podium with the GMX 3 Series at the 2023 World Archery Championships. The GMX 3 Series features the same grip-to-limb positioning as the Formula XD with which Mete Gazoz won the World Championship, and offers the archer a geometry that promotes optimal tuning and grip and aligns the archer with the bow.

Dynamic Balance Design
The principles of Dynamic Balance Design (DBD) in all current Hoyt centerpieces, shifts more of the centerpiece's mass to the upper and lower limb pockets, increasing outward inertia. This gives the centerpiece a very stable feel during Draw length and especially during arrow launch.

360º limb pocket dampers
The dampers are located in both the upper and lower pockets of the limbs - the optimal position to reduce both tactile and acoustic vibrations. Significant vibration reduction in all axes. Factory installed, user adjustable and removable.

Compatible with Perfect Balance System
The accessory weight system with optional 1 oz stainless steel weights that fit into the recesses replaces the 360º damper. Installing a 1 oz weight in the lower limb pocket perfectly balances the center section at the pivot point.

New Pro Series Tiller Screws
Radial laser index markings provide easy and repeatable alignment of the tiller and draw weight adjustment. Precision machined from high quality stainless steel and finished with a tough nitride coating.

Verta-Tune included
Verta-Tune allows archers to adjust the vertical position of the rest in relation to the grip. The GMX 3 series comes standard with the Verta-Tune plates with high and medium clicker extension.

New Cerakote colors
Four new Cerakote colors have been added to the classic Black Ink and Slate since 2024: InfraRed, Solar Orange, Cosmo Blue and Stardust Purple bring the color and shine back to the Hoyt line. The high-tech and innovative Cerakote coating allows the centerpieces to meet the tight tolerances required by Hoyt's engineering team.

Right-handed or left-handed?

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.

Notes on delivery time

Please note the following information on the stated and actual delivery time:

You are purchasing an item that we do not have in stock ourselves, but order from a wholesaler for you. As a rule, it will be with us in approx. 5-7 working days and can then be dispatched to you immediately. For this reason, a maximum delivery time of 8-9 working days is displayed in the order form.

However, our shop system cannot display the stock levels of wholesalers and suppliers. Even the wholesaler cannot always have every variation in stock. It may therefore be the case that the item has to be ordered directly from the manufacturer (Asia, America). In this case, the delivery time can be extended to up to 12 weeks. In special cases, the item will be made for you and may have an even longer waiting time.

After finalising your order and checking the availability of your items, you will receive information from us with a more precise delivery time. If possible, we will also offer you alternatives that can be delivered more quickly.

Thank you for your understanding.
