Center section | HOYT Xceed - Grand Prix - 25 inch

The dominant design in the modern history of the recurve bow
From the creators of Earl Hoyt's legendary geometry, comes a new, superior riser design. Xceed represents a massive leap in performance with the Hoyt Paralever Pocket System.

Grand Prix - The name stands for world-class archery, for 90 years
In its 90th year, the Xceed represents the flagship Grand Prix recurve riser from HOYT - naturally including the traditional Earl Hoyt geometry and packed with Hoyt technologies for tournament shooters.

First class technologies
The Xceed holds nothing back, offering the most advanced Grand Prix technologies in a wonderfully capable centerpiece.

  • String Tension Technology
This unprecedented innovation in recurve archery allows the string to be cocked to customize the feel of the limbs. By making small adjustments to the limb rockers, three different settings can be made to make the limbs feel shorter or longer without changing the complete tuning of the bow.
  • Vertatune clicker plate
The Xceed comes standard with three Vertatune rest plate options: high, medium and low, allowing for customization of rest height for optimal tuning and performance regardless of shooting style.
  • Pro Series Dovetail Adjustment & Tiller Screw
The new dovetail adjustment block on the limbs allows micro-adjustments for ultra-precise tuning while the bow is strung. The new tensioning screws ensure a rock-solid connection between limbs and riser.
  • Optional barebow weights
Developed with input from top barebow shooters for improved stability and performance. 30oz when used alone. 40oz when combined with Hoyt aluminum barebow weight plates and 50oz when combined with Hoyt steel barebow weight plates.

Available as a right or left handed model.

Right-handed or left-handed?

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.

Notes on delivery time

Please note the following information on the stated and actual delivery time:

You are purchasing an item that we do not have in stock ourselves, but order from a wholesaler for you. As a rule, it will be with us in approx. 5-7 working days and can then be dispatched to you immediately. For this reason, a maximum delivery time of 8-9 working days is displayed in the order form.

However, our shop system cannot display the stock levels of wholesalers and suppliers. Even the wholesaler cannot always have every variation in stock. It may therefore be the case that the item has to be ordered directly from the manufacturer (Asia, America). In this case, the delivery time can be extended to up to 12 weeks. In special cases, the item will be made for you and may have an even longer waiting time.

After finalising your order and checking the availability of your items, you will receive information from us with a more precise delivery time. If possible, we will also offer you alternatives that can be delivered more quickly.

Thank you for your understanding.
